We liked IoW so much we decided to return with some friends. Getting there we tried the hovercraft this time, there was much excitement. Then from Ryde, we purchased a transfer bus ticket that let us go to Carisbrooke via Newport where we stopped to buy a lunch picnic at M&S. From Carisbrooke, we retraced the Tennyson Trail to Freshwater.

The weather was very fine, summer flowers were blooming.
